Water, Walls & Walks - Making Karatsu a Walkable City
This was an International Urban Design workshop organized by ‘Architecture Institute of Japan’ to propose a Vision for Revitalization of Karatsu, a small town in Saga Prefecture, Japan. Aditya Vipparti worked on this proposal as part of a group of six. The proposal titled ‘Water, Walls & Walks’ intended to rejuvenate key activity nodes of the town and integrate them through sensitive Urban Design interventions with the idea of enhancing the pedestrian experience of the town for various user groups.
