Annavaram is a prominent Hindu temple in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The temple is located on a hill top, with a supporting settlement downhill. The project intends to create a holistic Masterplan and Urban Design vision for the temple town - uphill & downhill - with the goal to provide a meaninful spiritual experience for an average pilgrim, while catering to the functional and infrastructure development requirements of the town. The major design strategies include decongestion of temple precinct, pedestrianization and landscaping, setting up of architectural guidelines and planning of downhill basecamps.
