NEW CITY MASTERPLAN ; Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh ; 2015 - 2017

Aditya Vipparti worked on the finalization of the Amaravati Capital Region and City Masterplan, as part of APCRDA Planning team in co-ordination with consultants Surbana Jurong from July 2015 to Feb 2016. The Capital City Masterplan is organized into 9 themed sub-cities and further into 27 townships; with a projected population of 3.5 million by 2050. Each township is about 2km x 2km, further sub divided into Neighbourhoods of 1km x 1km, which are in turn sub divided into Communities of 0.5km x 0.5km. Capital Region Plan was notified on 26th December 2015. Amaravati Capital City Masterplan was notified on 22nd February 2016.
